Going back to the Beauty before plastic
Trying to find things that are made by hand, with lovely healthy earth friendly materials has been really hard. I also like to know where they are coming from and know that they were made and shipped with love. I know, I’m picky:))
I am putting together a list of my favorite places to find treasures, school supplies, clothes and toys. It’s my way of supporting these wonderful businesses that have been such a blessing to this family.
Toys that encourage and help hold onto the Magic of Childhood…
1. Bella Luna Toys I can’t say enough about Sarah, she is WONDERFUL. You will never regret your decision to shop in her lovely online store. She has become a friend and I not very many people can say that about the places they shop. I am so glad I found her while my kids are still young enough to enjoy all of the beautiful hand made toys she carries in her lovely shop. Love you, Sarah!!

Maekellan on Etsy She made Joanie Cloth diapers for her sweet baby doll Carla and a baby carrier. They were made SO well! My only complaint is that they were WAY too cute for a baby doll:))) She also has a really sweet blog http://maekellan.com/

Waldorf Dolls: by Accy She is kind, patient & loving everything you want in someone creating a doll for your children. She was a joy to work with. Her dolls are made so well and with Mostly Organic and all non-toxic material. So glad I found her!!!
She made Tarzan’s “Ditty” and he has held up REALLY well under lot’s of rough boy play:)

My Skin care.
What I put on and in my body is very important to me. If you saw my bathroom you would probably think I use little to nothing. I take care of my body Gypsy Style…..good oil in pretty much my beauty regime. I use Seabuckthorn oil from living libations.com which I LOVE, I also get my tooth and gum care from them. They carry the purest oils I have found. The best play in my opinion is OUTSIDE with all of the beautiful toys that Nature provides. But if they are going to play with toys I want toys that will aid in the growth of their imagination. ~ Barefoot Mama
